Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE)

Parent and Carer Consultation

Consultation period: 10th September – 10th October 2026

We are currently reviewing and updating our Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE) Policy and curriculum in response to the new statutory Department for Education requirements which came into effect from September 2026.

As a Catholic school, our approach to RSHE is rooted in the teachings of the Catholic Church and our school mission, “Love one another as Jesus loves us.” We aim to provide an age-appropriate programme which supports children to understand healthy relationships, respect and dignity, keeping themselves safe and caring for their physical and emotional wellbeing.

We use Ten Ten Resources – Life to the Full Plus to support the teaching of RSHE within our school. This is a Catholic programme which has been developed to support schools in delivering RSHE within the context of a Christian understanding of the human person, relationships, family and the dignity of every individual.

Have your say

We value the important role that parents and carers play as the first educators of their children and would welcome your views as part of our consultation.

We invite you to:

  • read our proposed updated RSHE Policy, which is available below;

  • review the ‘Life to the Full’ resources and curriculum content using the information and access details provided below; and

  • share any comments, questions or feedback with us before the consultation closes.

The consultation will remain open until 10th October 2026. Following the consultation period, all feedback received will be considered before the policy is finalised and presented to our Governing Body for approval.

Thank you for taking the time to engage with this important area of our curriculum and for working in partnership with us in the education and formation of our children.
